The Office of Media and Public Relations (MPR) is responsible for the LSU Shreveport campus communications functions, including media relations, web, social media and marketing.
We work with multiple stakeholders across the campus community to tell the LSUS story, and ensure that every facet of the university’s communication is clear, accurate, consistent, and represents the values of the LSUS brand and mission.
The MPR staff can assist you with finding information for a story, locating a faculty member who can provide an expert opinion, arranging interviews with university administrators and finding possible story ideas and photo opportunities. The staff also sends out media advisories, press releases and news and feature articles to the media. During a campus emergency or crisis, the Media and Public Relations team will also be able to provide the media with updated information, official statements and the name and contact information of any university spokespersons.
If you are an LSUS faculty/staff member in need of assistance from MPR, please utilize our MPR request form to submit your request.
