Biography
Mehdi Darban (Dr. D) joined the LSUS faculty in Fall 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Kent State University. Prior to coming to LSUS, he held director and executive positions in the manufacturing sector and participated in the areas of Systems Implementation, Business Process Design, and IT Project Management.
Dr. D's research focuses primarily on dynamics in IS use, IS Training, Enterprise Systems, and Gamification. His research has been published in journals such as Computers & Education, Computers in Human Behavior, the DATABASE for Advances in Information Systems, the Journal of Research on Technology in Education, and the Journal of Technology Management & Innovation. He has presented his research at the International Conference on Information Systems, Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, Americas Conference on Information Systems, and Decision Sciences Institute Annual Conference. Currently, he teaches the undergraduate Information Systems, Operations Management, Business Systems Analysis & Design, and Database Management courses, as well as Management Information Systems in the MBA program.
